Transfer Application and Evaluation Specialist

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is currently recruiting for a Transfer Application and Evaluation Specialist to join the Office of Admission team. The person selected for this important position will have the primary mission of providing outstanding service to our transfer student population by preparing timely and accurate transfer credit evaluations and application reviews, as well as updating and maintaining credit evaluation systems and policies.  This position will also work with new freshmen and international applicants.The minimum starting salary for this position is $15.42 per hour plus excellent fringe benefits. This is a 12-month basis position, and a six-month probationary period is required. The typical working hours for this position are 7:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Experience in an Admission, Advising or Registrar office
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Perceptive Software (formerly known as ImageNow)
  • Experience working with undergraduate transfer students in an admission and/or academic environment
  • Prior experience with transfer credit evaluations


  • Provide accurate and timely processing of transfer applications and transcripts utilizing PeopleSoft (PASS) and Perceptive Software (ImageNow). 
  • Coordinate course evaluation for admission with academic departments and registrar staff.
  • Provide superior service to applicants by providing timely follow up to phone calls and emails regarding their questions about the transfer process and credit evaluations. 
  • Assist the Transfer Coordinator in the review of articulation agreements, transfer guides and other initiatives.
  • Provide support in evaluating transfer, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and test credit for new freshmen applicants.
  • Assist in processing of new freshman domestic and international students as well as other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and/or Transfer Coordinator.
